BeChangeMaker is back for another year! The free online training program offers talented people all over the world the opportunity to explore their potential as social entrepreneurs.
If you’re aged 18-35 and have an idea for a business that will make a positive difference in the world, apply to BeChangeMaker before 25 May.
How it works
Thirty teams will be chosen to take part in the program which kicks off in June. They will receive access to coaching, tools, and resources including the HP Foundation’s free online business skills training program, HP LIFE, to enable them to develop their social business ideas.
In addition, HP employees—all experts in their field—will serve as team mentors, sharing their knowledge and expertise to help the teams refine their ideas and improve their business pitches.
The program culminates in September when five teams will be chosen to pitch their business ideas at the WorldSkills Conference 2024 in Lyon, France – where three teams will be selected to receive €2,000 in funding. In addition, all five ‘finalist’ teams will receive customized coaching worth €1,000 to develop their businesses further.
Innovative business ideas from last year’s winning teams included an accessible mobile justice application and service in Azerbaijan, an application to provide access to safe medication at affordable prices in Nigeria, and a digital platform and online community designed to offer affordable mental healthcare across Latin America.
What you can expect from BeChangeMaker 2024
Form a team of two to five people who share your vision; record a video; and submit your application before 25 May. Then mark these dates in your calendar.
- 31 May: Thirty teams selected.
- 3 June: Officially kicks off.
- 10-15 September: Final pitch in Lyon, France.
