HP LIFE courses are free
We collaborate with our partners and HP experts around the world to create highly relevant, business-focused courses that are free to use for everyone, everywhere. All our courses are self-paced, modular, and full of information and practical exercises that enable you to develop the skills you need for a successful future, at a time and place that suits you.
HP LIFE courses are offered in eight languages
All 32 HP LIFE courses are available in Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese, English, French, Hindi, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Account setup
Supported browsers.
Before creating an account, please make sure you are using a supported browser on your computer or mobile device:
- Chrome (recommended)
- Safari
- Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
Creating a “new” HP LIFE account.
To create an account:
- Select the language you would like to use.
- Click the JOIN FOR FREE button.

You can register using your Facebook, LinkedIn or Google credentials, or
your email address.
- If you choose to use an email address to register: You will need to complete all the necessary fields and click SIGN UP. An email will be sent to you to create a password. If you do not receive an email, please check your spam or junk folder. NOTE: you will not be able to enroll in any HP LIFE courses until you complete this registration process.
- If you choose to use your social media to register: You will use those credentials to log in and you will be prompted to create your profile. Click SIGN UP to complete the process.
Account management
Managing your HP LIFE account settings.
You can change your HP LIFE account settings at any time. Log into your account, click your profile icon at the top right-hand side of the page, select Profile, and click EDIT YOUR PROFILE.
You can edit the following profile information:
- Name
- Preferred language
- Time zone
- Country
- Gender
- Email subscription preference
You can also edit your password from this page by clicking on the CHANGE PASSWORD button.
Resetting your password.
If you are logged into your account and would like to reset your password, click your profile icon at the top right-hand side of the page, click the CHANGE PASSWORD button, and follow the instructions to reset your password.
If you are not logged into your account or have forgotten your password, click on the LOG IN button followed by the FORGOT PASSWORD link. You will receive an email to change your password. If you do not receive an email, remember to check your junk folder.
Account deletion
How to delete your HP LIFE account.
If you would like to delete your HP LIFE account, please visit your profile page and click the Request account deletion link. Please note that this will result in a permanent deletion of all your data, including course progress, certificates and badges you have earned.
Mobile app
Using the HP LIFE mobile app.
If you are taking the courses on a mobile device, please make sure you download the mobile app for the best experience. You can download by visiting the Google Play Store or the iTunes app store and searching for HP LIFE.
Taking courses offline using the HP LIFE mobile app.
Courses which are available for download and offline viewing are marked as ‘Available offline’ in the mobile app. These courses can be downloaded when you have an internet connection so they are ready for you to take whenever you are offline.
You must read through to the end of the downloaded course to complete it. Your offline progress will be tracked and visible once you are back online in the app. To achieve 100% course completion and to earn your certificate, you will need to complete the online course survey.
Offline courses are available in read-only format. If you have access to an internet connection, we recommend you enroll in the interactive course.
Certificates and transcript
How to earn a Certificate of Completion.
Certificates of Completion show you have successfully finished a course and celebrate your new skills. To receive a Certificate of Completion you must finish all the lessons within a course.
As you take a course, you will be able to follow your progress on the bar on the top right of the screen. Once you have achieved 100%, an option to DOWNLOAD CERTIFICATE will appear.
HP LIFE certificates are not accredited or endorsed by any educational bodies.
How to access your certificates and transcript.
Once you have completed all lessons in a course and achieved 100% completion on the progress bar, an option to DOWNLOAD CERTIFICATE will appear. Each course you complete will be added to your transcript.
You will also receive an email within 24 hours with your certificate attached. If you do not receive an email, make sure you check your junk folder.
You can access all your certificates and your HP LIFE transcript in your dashboard at any time by clicking on the MY Dashboard button at the top of the page and choosing the Certificates tab.
Certificates are provided in the language in which you took the course.
Certificate does not have the correct name.
The name on your certificate comes from your profile and is the name you used to register. If you need to change your name, click on your Profile icon at the top right-hand side of the page, click the EDIT PROFILE button and edit your name. Your certificates will reflect this edit. You can visit My Dashboard > Certificates tab to download your certificates.
Certificate is in the wrong language.
Certificates are issued in the language in which you took the course. If you would like a certificate in another language, you will need to change your language settings in your profile page and take the course in that language.
Printing certificates.
To print your certificate, click on the print button in the pdf file. In your printer settings, select 8.5 x 11 paper type.
Certificate or transcript not downloading.
Please make sure your browser allows downloads. You can go to Settings > Privacy & Security to temporarily allow.
How to earn badges.
To earn a badge, you will need to complete all of the courses in one language within a category. You can earn a badge for any category that has two or more courses. To learn more about the badges you can earn, please visit this page.
General Troubleshooting
Problems completing account setup.
If you used an email address to create your account, an email will be sent to you to create a password. If you do not receive an email, please check your spam or junk folder. NOTE: you will not be able to enroll in any HP LIFE courses until you complete this registration process.

Cookies.
We use cookies to allow us to remember the choices you make on our website (such as your preferred language, your region or your course progress). If cookies are turned off, you will not be able to take courses using HP LIFE. You can learn more about our Use of Cookies policy here.
Course enrollment
Enrolling in a course.
You must be logged in to your account to enroll in a course. Once logged in, there are a few ways for you to make your course selection.
- Choose ALL COURSES from the drop-down menu at the top of the page and select the course that interests you.
- Click on the arrow on the ALL COURSES drop-down menu to select the category of course you’re interested in— for example Marketing or Finance courses.
- Use the Search For Courses function in the menu at the top of the page if you already know the name of the course you would like to enroll in.
All HP LIFE courses are self-paced and free to use. Once enrolled, you can choose to work your way through the complete course or take it stage by stage to fit around your other commitments.
Course management.
The My Dashboard page allows you to view all the courses you are enrolled in along with progress for each. You can also download certificates for each completed course on this page.
Cannot enroll in courses.
If you used an email address to register, in order to enroll in HP LIFE courses, you need to have confirmed your email address and authenticated your account.
You should have received an email asking you to confirm your email address when you set up your account. If you did not receive this email, please check your junk folder. You can generate a new email by clicking your profile icon on the top right-hand side of the page, selecting Profile, and clicking the RESEND EMAIL VERIFICATION.
If you create an account through one of the social media options, you will not need to authenticate your email.
Taking courses in a different language.
If you would like to take a course in another language, you need to edit your profile page and switch your language preference. Click on your profile icon on the top right-hand side of the page, select Profile, and edit your language preference. Clear your cache, close your browser, and reopen.
