BeChangeMaker Global— the free online training program which inspires action on global issues—has opened its doors for 2023. From now until 3 June, talented people from around the world are invited to apply to the program and explore their potential as social entrepreneurs.
Who can apply?
If you’re aged between 18 and 35, want to make a positive difference in the world, and have a business idea that supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we want to hear from you.

How does the program work?
The program—organized by WorldSkills and the HP Foundation—is free to enter. Thirty teams are selected to take part in the program. They each receive access to coaching, tools, and a range of resources to help them improve their skills and turn their entrepreneurial ideas into viable social businesses. Here’s what you can expect from BeChangeMaker Global:
- High-quality learning content on HP LIFE, the HP Foundation’s free online IT and business skills training program.
- Effective tools and technology for startup acceleration.
- Dedicated coaching and customized support.
- Access to a diverse global network of potential supporters and investors.
In addition, each team is matched with HP employees—all experts in their field—who serve as mentors, sharing their knowledge and expertise to help participants refine their ideas and improve their business pitches.
At the end of the program, five teams will be chosen to pitch their business ideas at the WorldSkills Conference 2023 in Dublin, Ireland where three teams will be selected to receive €2,000 in funding. In addition, all five teams will receive customized coaching worth €1,000 to develop their businesses further.
How do I get started?
Form a team of two to five people who share your vision, record a video, and submit your application before 3 June. Then mark these dates in your calendar.
- 9 June: Thirty teams selected.
- 12 June: BeChangeMaker Global officially kicks off.
- 29 September: Five finalists pitch their social business ideas to a live audience and judges at the WorldSkills Conference 2023, in Dublin, Ireland.

HP LIFE is a free IT and business skills training program from the HP Foundation. It is accessible online, offline, and in person offering more than 30 courses in eight languages for entrepreneurs, business owners, students, and lifelong learners all over the world. It is also an adaptable educational resource used on the ground by trainers, educators, and mentors to enrich curricula, support business creation, and improve employability skills.
